What is Enviroskills?

New Environmental Skills for New Markets
The business world is evolving and environmental awareness and skills are becoming ever more important to take advantage of the latest business opportunities.  The Enviroskills service has been set up to ensure small and medium sized companies understand their training needs and can access subsidised courses to enable them to attract new business or enter new markets.   New technologies and ideas covered include topics such as:

  • Environmental Management Systems
  • Sustainable Construction
  • Waste Management
  • Rainwater Harvesting
  • Energy Management
  • Environmental Awareness

Main Role
 - Team management, environmental technology sector and bioscience skills gap analysis and supporting new course development. Engagement with private and public training providers.

- to talk to companies and carry out a training needs analysis with them.  This identifies skills gaps within the organisation which allows us to  propose the appropriate subsidised environmental training course for the relevant staff.
